Relationships as Pyramid
As I prepared for a training workshop this month, I came across a simple yet very effective framework for considering how organizations can understand (and therefore focus on to enhance) relationships with the people who care about their work. The engagement pyramid conveys that the majority of your people are only aware of the work. Your work as an organizer/advocate/steward is to encourage, through positive and rewarding experiences, further and deeper involvement. This pyramid can be a good practice to evaluate your current communications strategy, volunteer pool, or even staff recruitment strategies.
